Director of Growth Marketing
Barry Duffy joined Inclusive Employers in June 2025 as Director of Growth Marketing and is responsible for building and leading a marketing function to help us meet our growth ambitions. This includes coaching marketing and business development teams, designing and delivering full-funnel campaigns and account-based marketing programmes, and building the marketing technology (MarTech) and operational foundations that make it all work.
With a career that spans both government and not-for-profit communications and commercial marketing, Barry combines analytical thinking with creativity and empathy — helping businesses grow while staying connected to people and purpose. He brings energy, curiosity and a collaborative approach to every team and project he leads.
Barry’s marketing career began in UK Government communications, where he managed major national behaviour-change campaigns such as Drink Driving, Hedgehogs Road Safety and Teenage Pregnancy. These formative experiences honed his skills in messaging, audience insight and campaign delivery on a large scale.
Transitioning into B2B marketing over a decade ago, Barry has since built and led high-performing teams across HR, Education, EdTech, RegTech and FinTech sectors. His work focuses on aligning marketing and sales to drive growth.
Barry has also built marketing functions from the ground up, implementing MarTech stacks, establishing processes and workflows, and coaching teams to deliver measurable impact. Whether in a full-time or fractional leadership role, he partners closely with senior stakeholders to ensure marketing contributes directly to commercial success.
His biggest achievement to date has been challenging people’s preconceptions and instincts for placing people into buckets or pigeon holes based on their backgrounds.
He was a martial arts expert and professional instructor for over 30 years, but was afraid to eat honey because I thought it would turn him into a bee.
